Fever

38.7 ° c

Gametime last week

Look at the dice! In midair!

Playing board games last weekend this was, but I thought I post it, as right now Charlotte lies in bed sleeping. She got a head ache and her nbelly ached on and off. She tried to lose some of it, and felt better had just a peice of toast and started complaining again. Now she is sleeoing it off. Let's hope it's no animal flu. And now that I have just notice a news paper article saying the swine flu is slowing down now … well, with all the luck we are looking for we will be the last to have the swine flu - grrrr. Not helpful.

Get well Charlotte!

We helped making this ginger bread house!

Today the afternoon school had their advent party and the parents were invited to make all this little origami lampoons and stars and also a gingerbread house, meanwhile the children were having a ball in the big sport arena.

It was hard work and to remember these origami step by step instructions made Gesa and I become a wee bit desperate. But together we made it! And the gingerbread house wasn't that easy either. The sweets kept sliding off the roof. We kept calling the teacher to help and felt being in school again. Origami origami origami … teacher, teacher, where do I stick this end now????

Wonderful

Charlotte and I are in the process of creating a Christmas card, checking new times for an athletic course, working on her German home work, visiting Norbert and Konrad, who have already decorated their apartment for Christmas, picking acrobatic as the better choice and wondering how to devide the children for the parties, wondering if we will end up having two Christmas', two birthdays and two grandmothers for Christmas.

And we definitely need to make an appointment for the dentist for the two of us. Before all the parties start and the shopping, and making presents and inviting friends etc.

Yesterday I went to Oma when Charlotte was in school and Rob working. She is not doing all that well and had an accident.

The last two days Charlotte on and off complained about a belly ache and last night felt a little sick, but was fine this morning. Well, she would have stayed home for another 30 minutes before going to school, because it was so cosy, but she felt fine.

In School Charlotte is sitting next to Mariam and at the same table with Lena and Florine R. I am not sure she can concentrate - mmmhhhhhh. But Charlotte is good so far. A little more practise of her ABC's in a list of words (like Staple, Stunt, Sunday), she really likes Maths and English she is happy to be called Carol ... I am not, but that is on an entirely other paper.

Can't upload photos

but I measured Charlottes feet by tracing them on a piece of paper. I was a little confused, after she decided she rather wanted to wear a pair of Wellingtons size 30, then the pair 33. I am buying shoes size 33 and would have now gone to 34. Her feet are 20 cm, maybe 21 cm long and I found this formulae to time cm x 1.5 which indeed would bring me to 30!!!!! Wow, she had to go to school this morning, but when she is back, we will be going through all shoes and definitely make sure she wears shoes that fit. Shoes have always been a problem, even though I have had shoe sale people make sure she wears the right size. Always after to tell me not only if she likes a shoe, but does it fit. She also is the type to pick a pair, just to get out of the shop. I am sure when she reads this age 16 she'll laugh. But at the moment she isnt 16 and the shoe dilemma needs looking after!

… 30 is almost not possible, but then you always leave room by a finger, so it is 31, try even 32 in case of small shoe, but 33 or 34 not yet!

I can get out all them ole bootz from last year now - wink.
